Replacement Lamps for Obsolete and Discontinued Equipment
Your Equipment Still Works. The Supplier Doesn't.
Over the last several years, numerous UV equipment manufacturers, IR heating system suppliers, distributors, and importers have discontinued products, stopped supporting customers, closed their businesses, or simply disappeared.
In many cases, the equipment itself continues to operate perfectly—but replacement lamps are no longer available.
This problem has become especially common with imported UV curing systems, UV printers, UV conveyors, coating equipment, infrared drying systems, and specialty process machinery sold into the United States by manufacturers that provide little or no long-term product support.
The machine may only be a few years old, but once the original lamp reaches the end of its service life, customers often discover:
- No replacement lamp part number
- No technical documentation
- No replacement inventory
- No U.S. support
- No response from the manufacturer
- No information about lamp specifications
- No way to purchase a replacement
Without the lamp, the machine becomes unusable.
Lamp Express USA Inc. specializes in helping customers identify, reverse engineer, and replace lamps when the original supplier can no longer help.
We Can Often Help Even When No Part Number Exists
Many customers contact us with:
- A failed UV lamp
- A failed infrared lamp
- No documentation
- No OEM support
- No replacement source
In many cases, a replacement lamp can still be identified and manufactured.
Our engineering team can often reverse engineer a lamp using:
- Existing lamp samples
- Lamp markings
- Equipment information
- Photographs
- Physical dimensions
- Electrical specifications
Even when no part number exists, a suitable replacement may still be possible.
What Types of Lamps Can Be Reverse Engineered?
UV Lamps
- Medium-pressure mercury UV lamps
- High-pressure mercury UV lamps
- Metal halide UV lamps
- Gallium-doped UV lamps
- Iron-doped UV lamps
- UV curing lamps
- Specialty UV lamps
Infrared Lamps
- Single-tube quartz halogen lamps
- Twin-tube quartz halogen lamps
- Infrared heating lamps
- Short-wave IR lamps
- Medium-wave IR lamps
- Specialty process heating lamps
Fast Evaluation Services
Most medium-pressure and high-pressure UV lamps can be fully analyzed and documented within 24–72 hours.
Most quartz halogen and infrared heating lamps can typically be identified, specified, and quoted within 24 hours or less.
No minimum order quantities are required.
Sending a Lamp Sample
For the most accurate evaluation, customers are encouraged to send an existing lamp sample whenever possible.
Important
The lamp must be packaged properly and protected against shipping damage.
Broken samples often prevent accurate evaluation and can delay the identification process.
Before shipping any sample, please contact Lamp Express USA Inc. to obtain a Sample Processing Number.
Each incoming sample receives a unique tracking number to ensure proper handling and evaluation.
Do not ship lamp samples without first obtaining a Sample Processing Number.
Once assigned, ship samples to:
